In the mid 1990's a tragic and grousome event occoured that involved bosnian
and serb forces. Over eight thousand(8,000) Men and boys were murdered and executed. Simply for the crime of being Bosnian,
and having been born a male. The area in which this atrosicity occoured, was a so called protected "safe" zone, as declared
by the United Nations Council. The commander of the Unitied Nations Protection Force, General Bertrand Janvier. Janvier failed
to carry out the promise to defend the bosnian safe area, and ended up handing over control of the area over to Serb Forces.
There are many first hand
survivors and eye wittness accounts of what went on from January 1993 through July 1995, here is one persons testimony on
to what had happened in the events.

"A soldier came up and told
me . . .
'Give your child to
your wife and come with us.'
I felt very afraid
at that moment . . .
when I had to part with
my child . . .
but I had no choice . .
. "
This is just one statement to express how intense and serious these forces were in seperating
the males from their families, the women and children, it didn't matter who you were. You would be executed if you did not
meet their standards and you resided in the area.
